Weekend Recap / Pre-Season NIT

I was out of town all weekend and did not get a chance to pass a few links along to you guys, but the Aggies opened up on Friday night with a very impressive 73-50 vicotry over McNeese. The game was actually on FSN and I am sorry that I did not know that in advance. I wish I would have known so that more of you could have tuned in to watch.

Speaking of TV, the first two games of the Pre-Season NIT this week are on ESPN-U Tuesday night and Wednesday night at 8:00 CST.

We will be going to both games and have MUCH more for you later in the week.

One other note - - the pre-season NIT is an NCAA event, therefore student's sports passes are not valid for entry into the arena. The students must independently purchase a ticket for the games this week. Not wanting the South end of Reed Arena to be partially empty, Turgeon went out and spent $10,000 of his own money purchasing tickets and is giving them away to the students.

Seems a heck of a way to make a first impression if you ask me.
